We had the most wonderful wedding day at EMH – from start to finish the process of booking the venue, getting everything we needed sorted etc & on the day was just unbelievable the amount of support they provided and helped make everything be the best it possibly could!
The biggest thank you to Anneka & Kirsty who were on hand at all times in the lead up and also on the day when in true bridal fashion I was having meltdowns, suppliers were getting things wrong and I was stressing – but they were both the calm to my storm, resolved issues almost instantly and made everything so less stressful and took the issues on so they were not my problem.
I would recommend this venue and the staff to absolutely everyone – they are just amazing!!! And the grounds too, are so picturesque and all of our guests commented on how stunning this little hidden gem was 🤍 thank you so much again xxx
Anneka and her team were fantastic from the start. From simply choosing the right day to the first dance every detail was accounted for. Not only in the lead up but at each meeting and through out the big day. Our guests even commented how great the staff were and how beautiful the venue was and no one was aware the place even existed tucked away on the east of the island. If we could, we would do it all over again and change nothing.
Wow just wow!!! We had the most perfect dream wedding at East Mersea Hall. The venue is just stunning. This was the only venue we viewed as we were so blown away by its beauty. There are so many picturesque photo opportunities you just couldn’t choose a favourite. The weather was glorious and made the day even more special as we could have the ceremony in the walled garden but the other ceremony possibilities are just as pretty. Anneka the wedding coordinator was nothing short of amazing. She went above and beyond to make our day the fairytale we envisaged and we couldn’t thank her enough.
East Mersea Hall is the most perfect wedding venue. The grounds are stunning- every single spot in the venue makes for a beautiful photo. Anneka really went above & beyond for us to make sure we were okay, always quick with her emails & really looked after my groom on the day as he was so nervous. We almost had an indoor wedding because of rain, but as soon as the sun came out all the team quickly got our outdoor ceremony ready!
The food is absolutely delicious, & an important part is that we had a guest with a severe nut allergy which immediately staff & Chef catered to this across the entire venue. Our day was an absolute dream- cannot recommend East Mersea Hall, Anneka, Kirsty & all the staff enough, amazing x

We recently got married at East Mersea Hall. It’s an absolutely stunning venue, and the team are incredible. Anneka made sure every detail was taken care of so for us the whole experience was stress-free. She was incredibly accommodating when we had to make last minute changes in the run up to the big day. On the day the entire team were so attentive to us, and all our guests commented on what a wonderful day they’d had and how good the food was! We had a perfect day thanks to the team.

We first viewed East mersea in January 2022 due to an issue with our original wedding Venue, they were so welcoming and just amazing from start to finish. As soon as we stepped into East mersea Hall we knew it was the place for us to have our special day so we booked the same day!
Sadly my brother unexpectedly passed away 4 months before the wedding , I contacted EMH straight away and was told not to worry and they would support me in every way possible and this is exactly what they did!
They let me take time and postponed the wedding to a new date of my choice, I completely changed my wedding and it was so personal to what we wanted.
Gill was just amazing from the moment we met her and was an absolute star !
I honestly can’t thank Gill enough she’s so kind , generous and gave me everything I wanted on the day.
Highly recommend getting married at East Mersea Hall.

We initially contacted East Mersea Hall in 2020 after seeing them recommended on a local Facebook page. We were concerned about trying to arrange our wedding during lockdown but Kirsty and her team were there every step of the way and were great at keeping in regular contact throughout the whole process. We were very impressed with the team’s efficiency, professionalism, and passion while helping us figure out how to make our day go as smoothly as possible.The pricing, facilities available, options and variety, and flexibility of packages were fantastic and we really enjoyed tailoring our specific package to make the day suit us. The team were on the other end of an email to answer any questions we had and explain anything that was unclear in the lead up and we really appreciated this.We got married on 20th April 2023 and the team were on site the whole day to take the stress off us and to help the day run as planned. Anneka and Jill were there at every step of the day and their efficiency and organisation meant that we didn’t have to worry about a thing all day. They went above and beyond for us, even going as far as to video call my husband’s grandparents who weren’t well enough to attend in person so they could still see us get married. This was such a lovely gesture and meant so much to us both. We cannot thank the whole team enough for everything they did for us to make our day perfect.
We recently had our wedding at East Mersea Hall on 5.10.24, nothing was too big or small for Anneka and her team to sort out and deal with. They went above and beyond on our special day. We had so many positive comments from guests regarding the food and stunning venue. The chef catered for all food allergies putting us at ease. The bride was very overwhelmed and the staff were brilliant in dealing with this. Couldn’t rate them highly enough.

We had our wedding at East Mersea Hall beginning of September 2024, and it was the best choice we made by far! Anneka had her team were fantastic from the initial booking to our 1st dance. Such a stunning place they have, the staff were superb! The weather was on our side and we were able to have our ceremony outside with my mom’s spectacular flowers either side of us. We got married at East Mersea Hall last month and words can’t describe how wonderful our day was!
From our first visit right through to our day the team were all so amazing and attentive – especially Anneka who we liaised with throughout the whole process, nothing was too much to ask and her replies were always so helpful and so quick!
The venue is so naturally gorgeous so it was just easy to make it look stunning on the day.
We opted for a BBQ as we were wanting a more casual/relaxed day and it went down so well with our guests – the food was delicious, as were our canapes!
We also wanted to have a fresh crepe van in the evening as our dessert and this was no trouble to the venue which was great as we really wanted to add this to our day.
Anneka made sure our day ran smoothly and I as the bride, really didn’t have to worry or think too much on the day which made such a difference as you naturally feel nervous but Anneka took this all off my shoulders which I’m so grateful for.
Our day was just what we hoped it would be and more – we don’t have any regrets which we feel is so lucky to say about our wedding – thank you so much for everything, we would recommend this venue to anyone who is hoping to have a lovely, carefree wedding day!
My Husband and I, got married in May at this amazing venue. East Mersea Hall has a warm, comforting setting with a beautiful ambience to get married, with exceptional customer service and catering. We had a canape reception on the neatly cut lawn, in front of a huge, calm, relaxing beautiful lake. We got married a week ago. All I can say is WOW, this place is absolutely stunning with the grounds and the pavilion. We go married inside as it was very chilly but even that was so lovely and intimate. The team are absolutely amazing especially Anneka who organised our wedding. It went so smoothly and was absolutely perfect from start to finish. I couldn’t recommend East Mersea Hall more for a wedding venue.

Wow where do I start.. this venue is beautiful and even in February when it was chilly we all captured some amazing shots and it was simply magical.
Anneka our wedding coordinator was amazing and her attention to detail from the first meeting right up until the end of our wedding night was incredible, she simply took the stress and planning out of our hands, I’m amazed by how easy the day flowed just by Anneka stepping in and taking on board what needed to be done 🙂
The venue itself speaks volumes, the bridal suite was big enough for my bridal party which included 7 bridesmaids, mother of the bride, my two boys who was in and out, photographer and my make up and hair ladies.. absolutely stress free!
The ceremony room was simply beautiful and the lake just looks beautiful no matter what the weather.
The pavilion which held the reception was so classy and spacious and everyone commented on what a hidden gem this place is.
Anneka sorted patio heaters which we hired to keep our guests warm also for those who wanted to smoke or chill outside and the bar staff were always on hand for any spilt drinks or orders to make sure their was no waiting around.
The food was amazing, we went for the fish and chips cones and a buffet for the evening and the comments we received after about the fish and chips being the best they had tried in a while.. I honestly am still buzzing at how amazing this place was for the best day of our lives 🙂 highly recommend xxxx
Myself & my new Husband got married at East Mersea hall on the 19th of November 2022.
We viewed in February of the same year, and I knew the second I saw the beautiful grounds that was where we would get married. In fact, it was the only venue we viewed.
During the lead up to the wedding the team were organised, efficient and nothing was too much trouble.
Our actual day ran like clockwork. I had so little to do besides enjoy our day. The team took charge of everything – however big or small. The food and service were second to none & we had so many compliments on the choice of food as we had the BBQ. Every member of staff was kind, courteous and polite. And the grounds speak for themselves, they made for an incredibly beautiful backdrop to our Autumn wedding.
I can’t recommend the venue enough, Anneka, Kirsty & their team are absolute professionals at what they do and when I say they are cool calm and collected every step of the way I really mean it. Which is exactly what you need on your wedding day!

We cannot thank Kirsty, Anneka, and the team enough for making our wedding day such a great memory. After postponing twice due to Covid, we finally got to tie the knot in August this year, allowing family and friends from around the world to come and celebrate with us, which we are very grateful to Kirsty for.
Anneka was an absolute god-send, smoothing out all the kinks and crinkles and soothing any worries all the way through the planning right up to and throughout the day.
The venue is stunning with lots of great places for a wide range of photo styles, all of our guests greatly complimented the beauty of it and our photographer had a field day exploring!
The catering team was excellent, we had a vegan wedding and our guests loved the menu choices, the care taken, and taste! The options for evening food were fantastic too, again we received lovely compliments from our guests.
Overall we couldn’t have had any more of a perfect day. We would rate the place and the staff higher if we could.

This venue has so many different areas for photographs, plus when day turns to night the water is lit up in a stunning manor for yet again more photograph opportunities. When going to this venue it is rude not to have a go on the big swing. You can also have an outdoor ceremony in a beautiful dedicated ceremony area. The team here are very friendly and help the day run smoothly. This is a great venue to be able to customize the day and add unique suppliers and make your day special.

We had an amazing wedding at East Mersea Hall, despite the weather not being on our side. The ceremony was very personal to us and it was in a beautiful setting inside everyone commented on how cosy it was and what a great atmosphere. The staff were amazing as was Anneka our wedding co-ordinator who we had a great repour with. Everything was perfect and a lot of guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to!!

East Mersea Hall is a gorgeous venue! The children had hours of fun on the huge swing and as the sun goes down, the tree-wrapped fairy lights and the lovely lamps that circle the pond looked magical x
As soon as we saw this venue we fell in love with it. We made an appointment to view the grounds, which we did, and then booked it straight away. We didn’t even look at any other venues. It was just everything and more. Anneka and Kirsty were absolutely amazing and made our day so special. They took care of everything, there was constant communication, Anneka helped me with all the planning as I didn’t have a clue. There was just nothing that we could have added to this day, everything was already taken care of. The grounds are absolutely stunning, we had a woodland wedding which was incredible. The BBQ food was so delicious too. You will not be disappointed with this venue or the staff, truly fantastic.

We booked the venue in the height of covid without even being able to visit the venue, but this risk paid off massively.
Anneka, Kirsty and the team really went above and beyond to ensure every last detail of our wedding went to plan.
The whole process of wedding planning was completely smooth with Anneka happy to accommodate any request for our wedding, with many of our guests commenting how wonderful the venue and whole day was.

We finally got married in July and I can say that it was absolute perfection. East Mersea Hall is the MOST stunning venue. We had a tipi in the secret garden and our wedding day was a dream from start to finish.
Kirsty and the team made everything run so smoothly and seamlessly and made sure that my husband and I really enjoyed our day.
Everyone thought we were crazy organising a wedding with 3 little kids, but it was a joy from start to finish and you all made it so easy.

We got married at East Mersea Hall on 27th August 2022 and it was a perfect, magical day. From our initial enquiry, Anneka and Kirsty were professional. obliging, responsive and all you could ask for. The day itself ran smoothly, the food and service was incredible and the venue itself was just beautiful. We had our ceremony in the garden and the wedding breakfast and evening in the Pavilion, all of our guests said it was a fantastic wedding. East Mersea Hall was absolutely perfect. We fell in love with it instantly when we looked around, and Mersea itself was a special place for us as we spent a lot of time there when we started dating. It really is a gem. The grounds are stunning and our guests were constantly talking about it for days afterward. The water lilies were in bloom and the grounds were perfect for guests to mingle and provided many beautiful photo opportunities. The staff took great care of us and our guests throughout the day and helped keep us organised. Anneka our organiser was great, especially in the lead-up to the wedding helping advise us on what needed to be done and adapting to last minute changes. We were thrilled to find a venue that would allow our dog there for the ceremony and reception drinks too.
I cannot stress enough how much we loved our day and it will be the best of memories for years to come.

Well, what can I say, after two years of our wedding being canceled due to lockdown restrictions, we decided to move our venue to East Mersea Hall, and what a great decision that was, they are so accommodating, and their attention to detail is second to none. Thoroughly recommend this venue.
East Mersea Hall was everything we could have hoped for and more! The grounds are idyllic and everyone was obsessed with how beautiful it was. The staff are so helpful, organised and attentive and we didn’t have anything to worry about on the day.
Kirsty and Anneka were so flexible with anything we had in mind for decorations and helped to set everything up just as we had imagined it. The food was utterly delicious and everyone commented on how generous all of the servings were!

Words cannot describe how beautiful East Mersea Hall is.
We booked the venue in 2020 during the pandemic and didn’t get the opportunity to view it. Kirsty and Anneka has been amazing. They showed us around the venue via video call. The first time we actually got to see the venue was the day before the wedding which was in September 2021. It was exactly as the pictures online and on Instagram. The venue was so beautiful that it required minimal decorations.
The team kept us informed throughout and have been very helpful and supportive. They communicated effectively with us and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day. Even our guests were gushing about how stunning the venue looked. We took our vows outdoor and had our reception indoors. I love that we didn’t have to commute far between vows and the reception. The outdoor scenery was amazing. We even took pictures on the boat by the lake.
I would 100 percent recommend East Mersea Hall to anyone. You will be in great hands!!

We had our wedding in the grounds of East Mersea Hall and after a year and a half of lockdowns and COVID it was the perfect venue for a party. The woodland was a great outdoor space for our ceremony, both spacious and intimate. The venue also has so many other outdoor spaces which everybody enjoyed spending most of the day in and there is also a lovely Pavillon for the seated meal.There is also a beautiful lake, a rope swing, and bridal suite to get ready in and later spend your first night as a married couple in. All the guests said the venue was stunning and the kids enjoyed running around and playing garden games etc. Kirsty and the team delivered impeccable service and their experience shows. Since taking the place over they have really upgraded it. We would highly recommend this wedding venue, especially if you are having a lot of guests.

The venue is honestly breathtaking from day to night, which has been captured so perfectly within our wedding photos.The location is beautiful and was complimented by every guest as it has something for everyone. Our wedding was festival themed so it was the most perfect setting. Kirsty and Anneka were absolutely amazing and we couldn’t have wished for better hosts to help us pull of SHEERFEST 2021!
Happiest day of our lives.From the moment we booked the venue all the way to the moment we left Kirsty and the team looked after us. Through Covid they kept us informed and helped us by keeping dates aside in case we had to postpone again.They dealt with all of our suppliers, some of them easier to deal with than others. But didn’t complain and took all of the pressure off of us.Our wedding wasn’t a conventional wedding. So we had numerous complicated elements to be planned and factored in. But we never really had to worry because it was all looked after by the team. We were just told everything will be fine and it was perfect.The team were perfect on the day making sure things were running smoothly. Everything happens without you needing to be involved. You get to the next part of the day and everything is ready and waiting. No questions, no fuss, no problems. And yet they are perfectly discrete in what they do. Waiters and waitresses you will see. The people keeping things running smoothly are in the background working away on walky talkies.The venue is stunning. With so much work and thought put into it. Whether you’re getting married indoors or outdoors any time of the year there’s a beautiful place to have a photo. Our guests said it was perfect and most said they dreaded to think how much we paid. And yet it was cheaper than many of the venues we’d been to before.We have already said we’d like to go back and have a party there every year with the team. Most people we’ve spoken to have said it’s the best wedding they’ve ever been to.Thanks so much everyone who was involved.
We were lucky to have our wedding reception at East Mersea Hall in September 2021. It’s a beautiful venue – amazing grounds around the lake for our drinks reception (even more stunning at night with all the lights!) and a great indoor space for lots of people at dinner.Just as great as the venue was the team (particularly Kirsty and Anneka), who were wonderfully supportive and helpful from beginning to end. The food and drink was also excellent – the cocktails on tap went down very well with our guests! Thanks to everyone at East Mersea Hall for an incredible day!
Kirsty and Anneka and the whole team are fabulous, the lockdown and postponement of 2020 just made everything even more perfect as the excitement was even higher when we finally arrived at the most beautifully presented grounds and accommodation. The venue has the most picture perfect spots everywhere we were spoilt for choice from the lake, to the swing, to the woodland arch, to the magical driveway with the lovely lampposts, to the outdoor ceremony area with it’s beautiful walled garden.Everyone loved the day which went seamlessly thanks to Anneka and the staff who made everything go like clockwork. The food was fabulous beautifully presented and plentiful from the canapés to the hog roast to the fish and chips cones for supper.Nothing was too much trouble and everyone made the day perfect. Go visit it’s the best place for a wedding you won’t regret it.
We had our Wedding at the beautiful East Mersea Hall in September 2021. Our guests were blown away – the lake, the grounds, the atmosphere – everyone was (and still are) raving about the wedding!The owner Kirsty was amazing – she runs a very smooth operation where nothing is too much trouble and she manages to bring all your ideas to life! We has 150 guests for the day and had a banquet style set up for dinner – it looked amazing and the food was superb, even for such large numbers. The venue is really adaptable to create you own feel (we had oysters, a string quartet, installed hanging flower chandeliers….) so its a great place to create your dream day with guidance from a true professional. And, to top it all off, they served a top notch Espresso Martini!! Thank you so much,
From our first visit back in March we just knew that we’d found THE place. Daisy spotted some gorgeous shots on Instagram from the woodland that just sparked an instant connection. This was more than a pretty venue, it was a physical manifestation of how we wanted to celebrate our civil partnership.Meeting Kirsty and getting a tour was the icing on the cake. Although we went and visited other perfectly lovely venues, it was clear none could compete with East Mersea Hall. So we booked! Next came the barrage of questions that we fired at Kirsty about exactly how we wanted to craft our day to exacting standards. With her industry experience and cool headedness, Kirsty didn’t once break a sweat and nothing was too much for us. We felt well looked after in the run up. Anneka kept things going smoothly on the day and offered the best kind of background support so that our plans unfolded just as we’d envisaged. This was all the more impressive when we discovered that her car had been crashed into by an inconsiderate driver on the way in that very morning. Talk about the show must go on -That’s what we call dedication to service! The secret garden was super fun for the kids to play around in. The serving staff were friendly and professional and the catering was delicious. There was plenty of food and the lakeside views as you eat will transport you to an exquisite Mediterranean retreat! Having the cottage to stay over in was so convenient for us and the holiday site right next door is perfect for guests to stay in and stumble back to on foot of an evening. Our special day was early September and we got incredibly sunny weather which elevated everything to the next level! Mersea is a lovely place to find yourself too so it’s ideal for making a long weekend of things if you are so inclined! You don’t need us to tell you this is the right place to book, you’ll realise in the first 5 minutes of being there so get a tour booked in and we hope you have as wonderful a celebration at EMH as we did!
As father of the groom I would like to thank you for laying on an absolutely wonderful wedding.The ceremony in the woods was magical; the grounds and the venue beautiful, and the service was excellent. Your team worked hard all day and in difficult Covid times always with good humour and understanding. As a proud parent I could not have wished for more.

We cannot recommend East Mersea Hall highly enough as a wedding venue. The grounds are stunning, with a great balance between spaciousness and cosiness. Kirsty, the Wedding and Events Manager, is relentlessly supportive and highly knowledgeable about everything weddings. This was a huge help to us as we didn’t know where to start! During the pandemic, Kirsty has been super understanding and has allowed us to postpone on two occasions with no hassles at all. She is amazing!
Love the grounds here it so so beautiful. Ive been slowly witnessing the progress of the transformation and would love to get married here one day. The different options for weddings are great too I love the idea of a secret garden and teepee wedding ❤️
This place is truly spectacular.. Beautiful grounds..so much choice to suit what kind of wedding you would like as well. Kirsty has been super helpful and supportive throughout lockdown. When I needed to move my wedding nothing was too much trouble and she always stayed in contact with me to keep me up to date on what was happening. Can’t wait to get married here in 2021. We held my Mum’s 80th birthday at the venue and I cannot recommend it more highly.The venue itself is beautiful and the space lends itself ideally to a great party. Kirsty and her team were a pleasure to work with. From the outset Kirsty worked with us and was happy to supply options as we were deciding what format the party would take. The catering was superb as was the cake that Kirsty organised.The venue looked wonderful on the day, Kirsty was on hand to make sure everything ran smoothly and I have had so many comments from guests on how beautiful the venue was, how fantastic the food was and how wonderful all of the staff were.Thank you so much to all of the Team for making the event perfect.
