If we could get married every week at East Mersea Hall, we'd happily keep doing it until time stops! Anneka and the team were phenomenal from the first moment at their Open Evening to seeing us off the morning after our wedding. The outstanding personal touches of the stunning venue, the warm welcome every single time we spoke, the magnificent organisation, the absolute ease of flow on the day, the unrivalled support and eradication of stress from start to finish, they made our day perfect.

Professional, amazing service and the best experience we could have wished for. EMH made our dreams come true with a reasonable budget. Nothing was ever too much effort for this incredible team of staff. From the very first second that my partner and I stepped in to EMH we admired the professionalism and honesty. In some instances wedding venues can try and make as much money out of couples as they possibly can. Not in this situation, East Mersea worked with our budget, to ensure we had the most amazing days. We never felt pushed into decisions in the planning process and they were always available on hand. They said initially, that they were only a phone call away and they kept to that throughout. From our late night panic emails to early morning messages, they always responded promptly with the upmost professionalism. Anneka and the team managed everything perfectly in the build up and as we approached the big day, they were constantly checking in to see if we were ok. We used their excellent suppliers (Evo and Sylvie Neumann photography as well as buttercups cakes). Anneka contacted all of them throughout and kept them informed, that took the pressure off of my partner and I. The day itself was an utter dream, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, nothing was ever too much to worry about. The food was spectacular, the staff were so attentive and kept in mind all of the guests. In particular, my grandmother who they continuously brought tea and coffee to all day as they knew she was a little cold. It was the small things that meant the most at EMH and they definitely knew how to follow that up. The evening was superb, lovely evening buffet. As my wife and I (and 6 month baby) drove out of EMH on the morning after, we all had a tear in our eye. We will miss the wonderful staff team at EMH, we considered them close friends in the process and would have regular conversations over dinner about how amazing they were. We actually feel sad now when we see other people at the venue, it’s our special place and will be forever as it made our dream come true on a special day in February. Anneka and team, we cannot applaud or thank you enough. You truly are incredible and we are glad we got to do our special day with you guys by outside.

We had the most wonderful wedding day at EMH – from start to finish the process of booking the venue, getting everything we needed sorted etc & on the day was just unbelievable the amount of support they provided and helped make everything be the best it possibly could!

The biggest thank you to Anneka & Kirsty who were on hand at all times in the lead up and also on the day when in true bridal fashion I was having meltdowns, suppliers were getting things wrong and I was stressing – but they were both the calm to my storm, resolved issues almost instantly and made everything so less stressful and took the issues on so they were not my problem.

I would recommend this venue and the staff to absolutely everyone – they are just amazing!!! And the grounds too, are so picturesque and all of our guests commented on how stunning this little hidden gem was 🤍 thank you so much again xxx

We recently had our wedding at East Mersea Hall on 5.10.24, nothing was too big or small for Anneka and her team to sort out and deal with. They went above and beyond on our special day.

We had so many positive comments from guests regarding the food and stunning venue. The chef catered for all food allergies putting us at ease. The bride was very overwhelmed and the staff were brilliant in dealing with this. Couldn’t rate them highly enough.

Anneka and her team were fantastic from the start. From simply choosing the right day to the first dance every detail was accounted for. Not only in the lead up but at each meeting and through out the big day.

Our guests even commented how great the staff were and how beautiful the venue was and no one was aware the place even existed tucked away on the east of the island.

If we could, we would do it all over again and change nothing.

We had our wedding at East Mersea Hall beginning of September 2024, and it was the best choice we made by far! Anneka had her team were fantastic from the initial booking to our 1st dance. Such a stunning place they have, the staff were superb! The weather was on our side and we were able to have our ceremony outside with my mom’s spectacular flowers either side of us. Wow just wow!!! We had the most perfect dream wedding at East Mersea Hall. The venue is just stunning. This was the only venue we viewed as we were so blown away by its beauty. There are so many picturesque photo opportunities you just couldn’t choose a favourite. The weather was glorious and made the day even more special as we could have the ceremony in the walled garden but the other ceremony possibilities are just as pretty. Anneka the wedding coordinator was nothing short of amazing. She went above and beyond to make our day the fairytale we envisaged and we couldn’t thank her enough.

East Mersea Hall is the most perfect wedding venue. The grounds are stunning- every single spot in the venue makes for a beautiful photo. Anneka really went above & beyond for us to make sure we were okay, always quick with her emails & really looked after my groom on the day as he was so nervous. We almost had an indoor wedding because of rain, but as soon as the sun came out all the team quickly got our outdoor ceremony ready! The food is absolutely delicious, & an important part is that we had a guest with a severe nut allergy which immediately staff & Chef catered to this across the entire venue. Our day was an absolute dream- cannot recommend East Mersea Hall, Anneka, Kirsty & all the staff enough, amazing x

Even when we went to our first viewing of East Mersea Hall and it was a cold, rainy evening in March, we both knew almost instantly that this venue was magical enough to be the one for us. It was perfect for the relaxed feel we were after for our slightly smaller wedding and knew the walled ceremony area was just what we were looking for. The whole team were absolutely brilliant in the lead up to the day, especially Anneka who was always on hand for any number of questions we threw at her! Everyone on the day was so efficient and even more importantly, so lovely! We knew everything was in hand and the food was to die for. It’s a stunning venue that now holds so many wonderful memories for us from our day.

We got married at East Mersea Hall last month and words can’t describe how wonderful our day was! From our first visit right through to our day the team were all so amazing and attentive – especially Anneka who we liaised with throughout the whole process, nothing was too much to ask and her replies were always so helpful and so quick! The venue is so naturally gorgeous so it was just easy to make it look stunning on the day. We opted for a BBQ as we were wanting a more casual/relaxed day and it went down so well with our guests – the food was delicious, as were our canapes! We also wanted to have a fresh crepe van in the evening as our dessert and this was no trouble to the venue which was great as we really wanted to add this to our day. Anneka made sure our day ran smoothly and I as the bride, really didn’t have to worry or think too much on the day which made such a difference as you naturally feel nervous but Anneka took this all off my shoulders which I’m so grateful for. Our day was just what we hoped it would be and more – we don’t have any regrets which we feel is so lucky to say about our wedding – thank you so much for everything, we would recommend this venue to anyone who is hoping to have a lovely, carefree wedding day!

Where do we even begin? Anneka & Kirsty at East Mersea Hall have been an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. They answered all of our 101 questions so speedily and made sure to go above and beyond with every aspect of the planning process. They were both so in control of everything during the on the day coordination and made us feel so calm & that we could just enjoy our day rather than worrying about anything. It was honestly the best day of our lives and we couldn’t rate it higher. We have had so many guests say it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and it is all thanks to East Mersea Hall.
